Assistant Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with established procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, including manpower deployment and shift rosters, in consultation with the Engineer Maintenance Manager (EMM).
• Provide technical guidance and on-site support to team members and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including drawings, manuals, and maintenance records.
• Support engineering activities such as fault analysis, investigations, testing, and performance evaluations.
• Supervise or participate in corrective maintenance, system upgrades, modifications, and repair works ensure proper documentation and reporting upon completion.
• Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety practices and promote a strong safety culture across all operations.
• Monitor daily maintenance activities to ensure alignment with quality objectives and operational targets.
• Perform rotating shift duties as required to support operational needs.
• Undertake any other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical or power systems.
• Prior experience in a rail, industrial, or critical infrastructure environment will be an advantage.
