About the role

The Assistant Director, Human Resources is responsible for leading and overseeing the organisation's HR operations and recruitment activities, ensuring that HR processes are efficient, compliant and provide a positive employee and candidate experience. This is a hands-on role suited for an experienced HR professional who is comfortable balancing operational delivery with process improvement and stakeholder management. The role will work closely with business leaders, employees, HR colleagues and external partners to ensure the smooth delivery of HR services across the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment across assigned functions and levels, from manpower requisition through to offer and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements, role profiles and recruitment priorities.
  • Advise hiring managers on sourcing strategies, candidate profiles, market conditions and compensation considerations.
  • Manage candidate sourcing through appropriate channels, including direct sourcing, job portals, referrals and recruitment agencies.
  • Screen and assess candidates and coordinate the interview and selection process.
  • Manage offers, salary proposals, reference checks and pre-employment requirements.
  • Build and maintain a healthy talent pipeline for critical and recurring roles.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, hiring sources, recruitment costs and offer acceptance rates.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, employee movements, contract renewals and offboarding.
  • Ensure HR policies, processes and practices are consistently applied and compliant with Singapore employment legislation and internal requirements.

About you

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, with strong experience in both HR operations and recruitment.
  • Good working knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and HR practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment and partnering with hiring managers.
  • Strong HR operational knowledge across the employee lifecycle.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll coordination and HR data/reporting would be advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
