Assistant Director (Research)
In This Role, You Will
- Lead in the conduct of scanning and research into emerging technologies (eg. Quantum, synthetic biotechnology, new space) and technology-related issues, such as research/industry trends, applications, norms and geostrategic developments, that can impact technology development for the Defence Technology Community (DTC).
- Engage with thought leaders across government, industry and academia to curate insights on interest topics.
- Lead in the assessments from research, including potential options or approaches on technology-related issues, to inform senior leadership.
Job Requirements
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Fluent in English - able to write technology primers and articles to inform DTC; and prepare and conduct presentations well in English.
Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract.
