Job Description

The Corporate Communications Office (CCO) enhances NTU's reputation by raising awareness of the University's vision, mission, and achievements in education, research, and innovation.

CCO is home to a world-class team of communicators that has won international, regional and local awards in public relations, marketing and communication.

We are seeking an experienced communications professional to join us as Assistant Director, Public Relations.

Reporting to the Head of Public Relations, you will:

  • Develop and execute integrated internal communications strategies advancing NTU2030 and Education Transformation (focusing on Artificial Intelligence-in-Education) initiatives, creating the strategic messaging foundation and then bringing it to life through compelling campaigns.

  • Translate complex strategic initiatives into clear, credible, and engaging narratives that resonate with leadership, faculty and staff across diverse disciplines.

  • Design and execute engagement initiatives with stakeholders that drive understanding, address concerns and inspire action.

  • Produce high-quality communications content across multiple platforms, working both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies.

  • Monitor emerging issues and coordinate communications response during sensitive situations, including drafting materials and managing stakeholder alignment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism or a related discipline.

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in strategic communications, preferably in higher education or knowledge institutions.

  • Proven experience translating strategy into internal narratives that drive engagement and behaviour change, grounded in internal communications best practices and change communication principles.

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical or strategic concepts (including AI) and translate them into accessible, compelling narratives for diverse audiences excellence in producing clear, well-written content tailored to various platforms.

  • Strong project management and prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

  • Skilled at engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders to build consensus and advance shared goals.
