Job Description

What The Role Is

The Marriage and Parenthood Policy Directorate drives and co-ordinates whole-of-government efforts to address Singapore's low fertility rate, which is key to tackling our population challenge. We seek to build a more family-friendly ecosystem where Singaporeans are supported in fulfilling their marriage and parenthood (M&P) aspirations.

What You Will Be Working On

In this role, you will support the Director to drive whole-of-government strategies and partnerships with stakeholders across the public, private and people sectors to deliver strong M&P outcomes:

  • Guide the team in reviewing M&P policies and developing ideas to drive the next bound of M&P moves, in consultation and collaboration with other agencies and diverse stakeholders (e.g. tripartite partners, community organisations).
  • Research and analyse local/international trends and wide-ranging issues that affect M&P decisions.
  • Work with team and stakeholders to develop innovative public engagement and partnership strategies to better understand public sentiments, raise awareness and shape mindsets around M&P issues, and foster a more family-friendly society.
  • Supervise and guide the team in drafting replies to media, public and parliamentary queries on marriage and parenthood related policies.
  • Plan and manage resources for policy implementation and organisational development.
  • Foster and contribute to a positive work environment and culture.
