The Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) is a not-for-profit organisation established by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in 2024 to harness technology and foster innovation for more efficient, resilient, and inclusive financial ecosystems through global partnerships. GFTN organises convening forums, offers advisory services on innovation ecosystems, provides access to transformative digital platforms, and invest in technology startups with the potential for growth and positive social impact through its venture fund.
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior leader to drive revenue growth through government partnerships in India, while working closely with the CCO to deploy GFTN's strategic narrative as a core lever for deal origination, stakeholder alignment, and programme visibility.
This role operates at the intersection of policy, revenue, and execution, ensuring that GFTN not only secures and delivers high-value public sector mandates, but does so in a way that aligns with national priorities and reinforces GFTN's positioning as a trusted implementation partner.
The role will be responsible for building and scaling GFTN's India platform through government engagement, programme structuring, and ecosystem partnerships, while leveraging narrative and communications to accelerate outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Government Engagement & Revenue Origination & Deal Closure
Lead end-to-end revenue generation from state and central government bodies in India, including:
- MeitY
- DPIIT
- Ministry of Finance
- Ministry of Skill Development
- State IT / Electronics departments
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of government-funded and PPP opportunities
- Build and manage senior relationships with:
- Chief Secretaries, IT Secretaries, Finance Secretaries
- Central ministries and regulatory bodies
- Position GFTN as a trusted advisory and implementation partner and secure new clients from the Indian government.
- Translate government priorities (AI, fintech, employment, digital public infrastructure) into funded, executable programmes
Programme Structuring & Commercial Design
- Co-create programmes with governments that combine:
- Advisory and policy support
- Capacity building, upskilling, and employment generation
- Technology deployment and innovation
- Design and implement commercial models, including:
- Retainers
- Outcome-based contracts
- Blended finance structures
- Ensure programmes are aligned with state and national economic priorities
Ecosystem & Partnership Development
Build revenue-generating partnerships with:
- Global technology firms
- Financial institutions
- Investors and capital providers
- Academic and skilling institutions
- Anchor GFTN programmes within state and national economic strategies
- Enable and scale cross-border corridors, including:
- India–Singapore
- India–Japan
- India–Gulf
Strategic Communications & Narrative Deployment
Narrative Deployment & Positioning
- Apply GFTN's global narrative framework to:
- Position programmes such as BharatNetra
- Align state-level initiatives with national priorities
- Shape programme narratives around:

Deal Enablement through Communications
- Use communications strategically to:
- Open doors with government stakeholders
- Shape perception and build trust
- Accelerate deal origination and closure
- Develop high-impact materials, including:
- Government op-eds

Media & Thought Leadership (India)
- Drive engagement with top-tier Indian media, including:

- Support the communications and PR for GFTN forums and integrate India programmes into:

Candidate Profile
- 10–15+ years of experience in marketing, partnership development and revenue generation across:
- Government and industry engagement
- Public sector advisory
- Capacity Building and Upskilling programmes
- Strong network across:
- Indian central and state governments, industry, multilateral organisations, media, diplomacy, and academia
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Revenue origination and deal closure
- Structuring multi-stakeholder programmes
- Working at the intersection of industry, policy, academia execution
- Ability to operate in a high-ambiguity, high-impact environment
- Strong strategic communication instincts, with the ability to leverage narrative to drive outcomes
