Job Description

  • Plan, develop and lead the implementation of strategies to meet strategic goals in close consultation with the Academic Director.
  • Develop relevant educational programmes to serve the needs of family businesses.
  • Cultivate a network of knowledge partners to create events and learning platforms.
  • Advance relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as lead the BFI Outreach and Training team.
  • Manage fund development activities, including cultivation and stewardship of donors.
  • Lead and oversee public and media relations, marketing and communications.
  • Oversee and support the preparation of the annual budget and other financial reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree with 8 to 12 years of work experience in pedagogical design, management of educational programmes, large-scale event management, digital marketing tools and family business outreach, preferably in an academic institution or training establishment.
  • Stakeholder relationship management or experience working in or with family businesses/family offices/High net worth individuals/families is preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading change and organizational growth through strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of the family business space and able to work well with business families globally.
  • Experience in fund development, marketing, public relations and communications.
  • Cross-functional capabilities, to acquire support, garner resources and engage stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and general management skills.
  • Strong communications (written and spoken), interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Able to lead, inspire, motivate and maintain collegial work style.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment, and the ability to adapt and be flexible.
