We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Design Engineer (Civil & Structural) to support the Design Manager in overseeing design coordination, architectural / C&S supervision, and compliance across major infrastructure and building projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
- Assist the Design Manager in supervising architectural and C7s work to ensure compliance with design standards, safety requirements, and environmental regulations.
- Plan, manage, and monitor the progress and scheduling of C&S work.
- Manage drawing submission schedules in accordance with project timelines and construction progress.
- Coordinates and reviews all design matters with LTA, authorities, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Oversee and control design deliverables, including BIM models, technical documentation, contractual submissions, and cost-related design matters.
- Review subcontractors shop drawings to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project specifications.
- Support design-related problem-solving and provide technical guidance to project teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in construction supervision of architectural or C&S works.
- Experience with LTA or major building/infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a construction or engineering company is preferred.
- Strong understanding of civil and structural details, design coordination, and regulatory requirements.
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
