Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation
  • Wash, cut, peel, and prepare ingredients
  • Measure ingredients based on recipes
  • Prepare sauces, garnishes, and side items
  • Basic Cooking
  • Cook simple dishes (e.g., soups, rice, pasta, fried items)
  • Assist in assembling meals and plating
  • Follow instructions from the chef or head cook
  • Kitchen Support
  • Set up cooking stations before service
  • Help during busy periods (chopping, plating, refilling ingredients)
  • Assist in packing takeaway or catering orders
  • Cleaning & Hygiene
  • Clean utensils, chopping boards, and work areas
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness at all times
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards
  • Food Storage
  • Store ingredients properly (fridge, freezer, dry storage)
  • Label and organize food items
  • Check expiry dates and freshness
  • Inventory Support
  • Help monitor stock levels
  • Inform chef when ingredients are low
  • Assist with receiving deliveries
  • Teamwork
  • Follow instructions from senior chefs
  • Work well with kitchen staff
  • Support smooth kitchen operations
