Job Summary

Assist the cook/chef in preparing and cooking food by handling ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, following safety standards, and supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cook/chef in preparing and cooking food to meet quality standards
• Prepare and cut vegetables, meat, and other ingredients accurately for cooking
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work area to ensure a safe environment
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards to prevent contamination and ensure compliance
• Check ingredient quality and store them properly to preserve freshness and safety
• Assist with plating and packing food to support timely service and presentation
• Clean cooking equipment and utensils thoroughly to maintain kitchen sanitation
• Support the kitchen team during busy hours to ensure smooth operations and timely food preparation
