Expectation of Role:
- Support the class teacher.
- Assist the class teacher in the care of the child in accordance with the school's safeguarding and child protection guidance.
- Independently supervise children at breaktimes, lunchtimes or on trips.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures.
- Carry out planned curriculum tasks with individuals or group under teacher instruction.
- Listen to children read, using the appropriate skills.
- Organise resources for the class and maintain educational equipment used by the class.
- Prepare classroom displays and help to prepare art materials for class activity.
- Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school including ECAs and school events.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum 3 GCE O or N Level, including a credit in English and Maths
- Experience of working with children in a school setting.
