Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Procurement professional to support the purchasing function in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for supporting procurement activities including RFQs, purchase order processing, supplier coordination, and basic cost analysis.

This role works closely with the Senior Buyer to ensure smooth execution of purchasing processes and timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support procurement processes including RFQs, RFPs, negotiations preparation, and cost analysis
  • Assist Senior Buyer in sourcing and purchasing of goods, materials, supplies, and services
  • Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Monitor and follow up on deliveries to ensure smooth procurement operations
  • Maintain procurement records including purchase history, costs, delivery status, product performance, and inventory levels
  • Analyse procurement data and support On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance tracking
  • Liaise with suppliers to expedite deliveries and resolve issues such as shortages, delays, or discrepancies
  • Respond to internal stakeholders queries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure service satisfaction
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by reporting manager
