Our client is seeking a commercially driven Business Development professional to support regional growth across Southeast Asia and the Middle East. This role focuses on identifying and securing EPC opportunities within the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors, building strong client relationships, and driving project pipeline expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across SEA and Middle East markets (including Abu Dhabi, Qatar, and Malaysia)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including oil majors, petrochemical companies, and EPC partners
- Track market trends, upcoming projects, and tender opportunities within the oil & gas / petrochemical sector
- Lead prequalification processes, RFQs, and tender submissions in collaboration with internal engineering and commercial teams
- Support commercial strategy, including pricing, bid positioning, and contract negotiation
- Coordinate internally with project, engineering, and management teams to align proposals with client requirements
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and networking platforms
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, tendering, or commercial roles within EPC / oil & gas / petrochemical industry
- Proven exposure to regional markets (SEA and/or Middle East - Abu Dhabi, Qatar)
- Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycle, tendering processes, and commercial frameworks
- Established network with clients, operators, or industry stakeholders is advantageous
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel regionally
