Due to continued business growth, we are partnering with our client in the FMCG/manufacturing industry on a Regional Business Excellence Manager mandate. This is a newly created strategic regional role focused on enhancing commercial performance, distribution effectiveness, and pricing governance across the APAC region.
The successful candidate will play a key role in translating regional commercial strategy into scalable operational practices across countries. Working closely with cross-functional teams and market stakeholders, this role will drive distribution excellence, standardise commercial execution, and optimise pricing and margin performance to support sustainable regional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive distribution excellence across the region by evaluating market coverage, monitoring distributor performance, and identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen route-to-market strategies.
- Implement and monitor regional commercial performance frameworks, including standardised KPIs, scorecards, and execution standards to improve operational consistency across markets.
- Support the development and optimisation of distributor networks, including distributor capability assessments, channel prioritisation, and expansion planning.
- Lead commercial excellence initiatives by supporting the rollout and adoption of key commercial tools and processes such as distribution management systems and sales force automation platforms.
- Translate regional pricing strategy into operational execution, ensuring country-level pricing structures align with pricing corridors and regional governance.
- Analyse margin performance across the value chain, including distributors and downstream partners, identifying opportunities to optimise profitability and channel competitiveness.
- Monitor financial and commercial performance across markets, identifying deviations from targets and working with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
- Act as the regional commercial lead for traceability and compliance initiatives, supporting rollout across markets and ensuring alignment with distribution governance and territorial integrity.
Key Requirements
- Ideally 7 years of relevant experience in commercial operations, business excellence, pricing, route-to-market strategy, sales excellence, or commercial finance.
- Experience working in a regional or multi-country environment across Asia.
- A background in FMCG, industrial distribution, or other B2B channel-driven industries, coupled with consulting experience, would be highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability, with experience in pricing governance, margin analysis, and commercial performance management.
- Exposure to distributor-led business models and indirect sales channels is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a cross-functional and matrix organisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
