Overview
A rapidly growing APAC investment platform is expanding its portfolio across data centers, and logistics and looking for a hands on Business Development professional to originate, evaluate, and propose investment opportunities, primarily in data centers, with secondary exposure to logistics. The role is suited for someone who brings strong DC networks, understands EPC/JV partnership models, and is ready to roll up their sleeves in a lean, high growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify and originate data center investment opportunities across APAC.
- Build and expand networks with operators, developers, EPCs, and consultants.
- Conduct technical, commercial, and regulatory due diligence for DC and related assets.
- Assess JV/EPC partnership structures and propose viable market entry approaches.
- Develop business proposals, presentations, and investment materials for management.
- Prepare weekly reports and maintain active communication with regional HQ.
- Support expansion into adjacent sectors including logistics, solar, and biogas.
- Perform market scans and feasibility assessments for new regional opportunities.
- Coordinate with partners to evaluate land, power, fibre, and permitting requirements.
- Manage cold outreach and targeted engagement across multiple client segments.
- Participate in face to face interviews, meetings, and stakeholder sessions.
- Work independently as an IC while aligning with cross functional leadership.
Requirements
- Strong data centre BD experience with an established DC network in APAC.
- Background may include contractors, EPCs, consultancies (tendering), or real estate investment.
- Experience in early stage pipelines and JV driven market entry is highly advantageous.
- Ability to perform full spectrum due diligence (market, technical, commercial).
- Comfortable with investment driven BD and presenting proposals to senior stakeholders.
- Hands on, proactive, and adaptable to a lean team environment.
- Strong communication skills with ability to prepare PPTs, reports, and business cases.
- Track record of engaging diverse client types across DC, logistics, and energy sectors.
