Job Description
Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for an Assistant Application Engineer:
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to enquiries from sales representatives and customers regarding product capabilities, specifications, and applications via phone and email.
- Analyse and troubleshoot customer application issues remotely and on-site.
- Conduct product application testing to support sales representatives and customers.
- Provide on-site technical support, including system setup, adjustment, and fine-tuning at customer locations.
- Conduct post-sales application training for customers.
- Develop and update training manuals and technical documentation.
- Assist sales representatives with on-site product presentations when required.
- Identify opportunities to improve departmental efficiency and support improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Computer, Electrical, or a related discipline.
- Training is provided.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good active listening and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with logic control and Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of communication protocols such as Serial, Modbus TCP, Ethernet, and EIP.
- Familiarity with HMI programming.
- Knowledge of sensors, actuators, DC motors, encoders, relays, solenoids, stepper motors, or servo motors will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of database languages such as SQL/MySQL or programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python will be an advantage.
Additional Information:
- Salary: Up to SGD 3,200 + 1 month AWS + 2-3 months VB
- Working Location: Kallang
- Working Hours: 9am - 6pm, 5 days
