Assistant Accounting Manger (MTM/Financial Reporting/Trading) LT94

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

• Review and approve key financial transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting

• Perform monthly reviews of sales and purchase transactions, reconciliations, and mark-to-market (MTM) valuations

• Review AR/AP aging, fixed assets, and lease schedules

• Oversee and ensure timely month-end closing and reporting processes

Tax Compliance

• Coordinate tax compliance matters across jurisdictions (e.g. VAT, corporate tax)

• Work closely with external tax advisors on filing and reporting requirements

• Support transfer pricing and regulatory compliance activities

• Liaise with head office finance and tax teams on related matters

Controls & Audit

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies

• Review work of Accounts Executives to ensure accuracy and timeliness

• Support internal and external audits, including follow-up on audit findings

• Identify and escalate financial or compliance risks in a timely manner

• Strengthen internal controls and drive continuous process improvements

• Support system enhancement initiatives and cross-functional projects

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or a related discipline

• Around 5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or tax functions

• Good knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g. SFRS)

• Familiarity with multi-jurisdiction tax compliance (e.g. VAT, corporate tax)

• Experience in reviewing work or guiding junior team members is an advantage

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Exact)
