Job Description
We are an established SME seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support our finance operations across two companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Review and verify supplier invoices processed by Accounts Admin
- Check correct GL coding and approvals
- Monitor AP ageing and ensure timely payments
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding balances
- Maintain AR ageing and ensure timely collection
- Prepare and provide customer account balances / audit confirmations upon request
Accounting Support
- Assist in month-end closing
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Maintain proper accounting records for two entities
- Assist in audit and prepare supporting schedules
Insurance & Asset Administration
- Manage and maintain machinery and fleet insurance policies
- Coordinate insurance renewals and ensure timely coverage
- Liaise with insurers and brokers on policy matters
- Assist in handling insurance claims and documentation
- Maintain proper records of insured assets
