About The Role
As an Associate Director / Director in the Talent Insight & Assessment Practice, you'll combine deep assessment expertise with commercial leadership and client partnership. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, lead complex assessment engagements, and contribute to the evolution of BTS's intellectual property and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end client engagements, from diagnosis and solution design through to delivery and insight generation. Specifically, you will:
- Partner with senior executives to diagnose strategic talent challenges and shape assessment approaches that inform high-stakes business decisions.
- Design and oversee the delivery of assessment solutions, including assessment centers, simulations, structured interviews, SJTs, 360 feedback, and psychometric tools (virtual and face-to-face).
- Build and grow client relationships, identifying opportunities, leading proposals, and co-creating new work with BTS account teams.
- Translate complex assessment data into clear, compelling insights that drive action at individual, team, and organizational levels.
- Collaborate globally across BTS practices (Leadership, Strategy Execution, Coaching) to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
- Contribute to practice development, including methodology refinement, quality assurance, mentoring consultants, and representing BTS as a credible voice in the assessment and talent space.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a senior assessment professional with strong scientific grounding, commercial acumen, and a passion for helping organizations make better people decisions. You will bring:
Assessment & Technical Expertise
- 10+ years experience in assessment, talent management, or leadership consulting, ideally within a leading assessment or advisory firm.
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a closely related field.
- Deep experience designing and delivering a wide range of assessment methodologies (e.g., simulations, exercises, structured interviews, SJTs, psychometrics, 360s).
- Strong understanding of assessment quality, validity, reliability, and defensibility.
- Experience with virtual and face-to-face assessment delivery at scale.
- Fluency in English & Bahasa Malay is required; proficiency in additional Asian languages is an added advantage.
Client & Commercial Leadership
- Proven track record of building trusted client relationships and contributing to business growth.
- Confidence and credibility working with senior leaders and executive populations.
- Ability to connect assessment insights to broader business, leadership, and strategy agendas.
Thought Leadership & Practice Building
- Experience developing frameworks, or other thought leadership in the talent or assessment space.
- Intellectual curiosity and appetite for innovation in assessment design and delivery.
- Desire and capability to coach, mentor, and develop other consultants.
