Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Research and Data Analytics, the individual will support the team on data management, tabulation, analysis, programme evaluation, research planning and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management and Insights
- Establish, maintaining, and enhancing database systems for data entry and analysis
- Analyze collected data to identify key trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Prepare ad hoc reports and presentation materials to support studies and programme evaluation initiatives
- Contribute to department-level and consolidated summary reports for monthly management updates and annual reporting cycles
Programme Evaluation, Research Planning and Governance:
- Design and implement research studies (academic / non-academic) aligned to SCS work (i.e. outreach, programmes and services etc.)
- Designing evaluation framework for progamme; pre and post
- Provision of oversight, monitor and report on the progress of in-house research activities to ensure alignment with strategic goals
- Analyze published literature, clinical data, and broader research trends to identify gaps in healthcare practices to inform strategic direction for SCS programmes and services
- Lead or support the development of a research institution (RI) which includes the establishment of required policy formulation and process design
Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Formal training or certification in research methodology, data analytics, or programme evaluation is an advantage.
- Proficient in statistical and predictive modelling
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and effectively
- Experienced in data management tasks (i.e. data cleaning, recoding, and tabulations
- Skilled in SPSS, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and the creation of infographics and data visualisations
