The role requires an individual who can combine strong ESG and/or sustainable finance expertise with strong client leadership, product thinking, and regional market insight.

This role involves some level of travelling, especially in the Asia Pacific region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients across financial institutions, corporates, public sector bodies, and professional services firms
  • Lead client discussions, briefings, and advisory sessions where strategic judgement and regional insight are required
  • Shape and represent Eco-Business's external thought leadership, contributing to flagship reports, briefings, and commentaries
  • Present at, moderate, or curate industry dialogues and Eco-Business-hosted events
  • Support Eco-Business's external engagement and social media presence through authoritative, insight-driven contributions

2. ESG training & capability-building programmes

  • Lead the design and delivery of ESG training and capability-building programmes tailored to Asia-Pacific public and private sector needs
  • Develop scalable training offerings covering themes such as ESG fundamentals, climate risk, transition planning, disclosure, governance, and implementation
  • Work with regional partners, institutions, and clients to ensure training programmes are practical, policy-relevant, and market-aligned
  • Support the evolution of Eco-Business's training portfolio into a scalable, high-quality regional capability-building platform

3. Internal team collaboration

  • Work closely with the Editorial, Events, Partnerships, and Marketing teams to ensure coherence across content, intelligence, and commercial activities
  • Support and mentor Intelligence team members, providing guidance on project delivery, research quality, and client engagement
  • Contribute to internal strategic initiatives and organisational development as required

Skills & experience

  • At least 8 years experience in ESG, sustainable finance, sustainability consulting, research, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, climate and transition risk, sustainable finance, and Asia-Pacific market dynamics
  • Proven experience leading complex client engagements and managing senior stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear insights
  • Experience operating in a commercial environment, including business development and proposal leadership
  • Strong client management and people skills
