Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead development and maintenance of AS400 applications using RPG, RPGLE, and COBOL400
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and code reviews to team members
Design, manage, and optimize DB2 databases on the AS400 platform
Collaborate with business and banking stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Ensure application performance, security, and compliance with regulatory standards
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
Support application enhancements, upgrades, and technical documentation

Job Requirements

6–9 years of experience in software development using RPG and Control Language (CL) on AS400
Bachelors degree in relevant IT field
Experience working on Silverlake/AS400 loan systems in a banking or financial services environment.
Proficient with DB2 and understanding of data structures and file handling on AS400.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
Experience with SDLC methodologies and change management processes.
Knowledge in SQL
Knowledge of Aldon / Arcad for software deployment automation on AS400.
Familiarity with SFTP for secure file transfer.
Experience with MQ for inter-system communications.
Exposure to Direct Connect and external integrations.
Understanding of release management and version control.
Background in quality assurance and test support activities.
Knowledge in Control-M
