This role is ideal for a senior production support professional who can provide
technical leadership, incident resolution, defect fixing, deployment support, and platform migration support in a mission-critical banking environment.
The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in
production support,
bug fixing,
system analysis, and
customer/payment platform transition projects, with the ability to quickly troubleshoot and stabilize core business applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the SME for AS400 / Mainframe-based banking and payment applications
- Provide production support for critical banking systems with focus on incident management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs, system defects, and performance issues
- Support payment system applications and ensure smooth functioning of transaction processing systems
- Work on customer migration / platform transition initiatives, where systems or customers are moved from one platform to another
- Perform code analysis, enhancements, defect fixing, and support changes in AS400-based applications
- Handle deployment activities, release support, job scheduling, and production log analysis
- Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs, interfaces, system logs, and transaction failures
- Collaborate with business users, operations teams, developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure system stability
- Support production incidents, emergency fixes, and post-release validations
- Drive problem management, identify recurring issues, and recommend permanent fixes
- Ensure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and technical runbooks are maintained
- Participate in change management, release planning, and support governance activities
