Art Director (Social Media & Content Strategy)

Overview

We are looking for a strategic Art Director who is more than just a creative executor. This role requires a strong social media marketing strategist who understands brand positioning, audience psychology, and performance-driven content - with the ability to execute through content creation and/or design.

You will drive the creative direction while ensuring all content aligns with business objectives, campaign goals, and measurable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with brand and business goals
  • Translate marketing objectives into compelling creative directions and campaign concepts
  • Plan content calendars based on audience insights, trends, and platform algorithms
  • Analyse content performance metrics and optimise strategy accordingly
  • Identify growth opportunities across organic and paid channels

Creative Direction & Execution

  • Lead the visual and storytelling direction across all social media platforms
  • Create or oversee the production of high-performing content (short-form videos, reels, carousels, static posts, etc.)
  • Ensure consistency in brand tone, identity, and messaging
  • Provide design direction and feedback to internal or external creatives
  • Stay ahead of social media trends and adapt them strategically for the brand

Performance & Growth

  • Monitor engagement, conversion, and audience growth metrics
  • Conduct A/B testing on creatives and messaging
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to align campaigns with business targets

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media strategy and content marketing
  • Strong understanding of platform dynamics (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
  • Ability to conceptualise and execute creative campaigns
  • Content creation (video scripting, filming, editing, storytelling), OR
  • Graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite / Canva / Figma, etc.)
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics
  • Strong storytelling and brand-building capability
  • Independent, strategic thinker with leadership presence
