Area Sales Manager - Power Transmission Industry
Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager drives B2B sales growth by identifying new opportunities, managing distribution channels, and delivering technical solutions in the power transmission sector, including geared motors, gearboxes, and frequency inverters.
Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new sales accounts to expand market presence and increase revenue
- Manage and grow existing key accounts through proactive relationship building and solution selling
- Develop and implement regional growth strategies, including monthly sales forecasting and annual budget planning
- Oversee local distribution partners by analyzing activity reports and supporting their sales initiatives
- Conduct product demonstrations and prepare accurate quotations to meet customer technical and commercial requirements
- Negotiate contract terms to secure favorable agreements aligned with company objectives
- Travel frequently to branches, distributors, and end-users to resolve issues and perform initial failure assessments for after-sales service
- Monitor profit margins and actively manage accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and financial health
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering fields
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in power transmission or related industrial sectors
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Familiarity with gear motors, inverters, and applications in sectors such as F&B, Logistics, and Wastewater
- Knowledge of ASEAN/APAC markets and intercultural communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Experience with SAP (or ERP) and CRM systems
