Job Summary
Lead and supervise architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring design quality and compliance with local codes. Manage teams, coordinate with clients and contractors, and oversee project execution and approvals.
Responsibilities
- Lead project supervision from inception, conceptualization, and design through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
- Monitor and manage project execution by reviewing progress regularly with design and construction teams
- Conceptualize and develop concept and schematic designs to meet client and project requirements
- Conduct feasibility studies and present design proposals to stakeholders
- Prepare tender documentation, including schedules and material specifications, to support procurement processes
- Develop detailed construction designs with competence in architectural details
- Apply thorough knowledge of Authority codes and requirements to ensure regulatory compliance
- Track and monitor the status of authority clearances and approvals to maintain project timelines
- Coordinate and control drafting processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in design documentation
- Liaise effectively with clients to discuss and resolve project-related issues
- Lead coordination and collaboration with consultants and contractors to align project objectives
- Manage and lead a team of architectural personnel to achieve project goals
- Oversee on-site work progress and resolve arising issues promptly to avoid delays
- Ensure overall design quality meets professional and client standards
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Recognized Degree in Architecture
- Minimum 8 years of relevant architectural experience managing BIM projects
- Proficient knowledge of architectural details, working drawings, and construction practices
- Skilled in computer 3D and presentation software such as Microstation, Revit, Photoshop, and Sketchup
- Strong design flair with ability to sketch quickly and produce compelling design concepts
- Conversant with local codes and regulations
