Job Summary
Assist the Planning Manager to coordinate architectural design detailing and ensure quality execution of architectural works across projects, driving compliance and productivity through effective collaboration and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate architectural design detailing between clients and consultants to ensure alignment and project progress.
- Review, update, and manage all architectural work including shop drawings to maintain accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Resolve site architectural issues such as drawing discrepancies, method statements, or correspondence by applying BIM software or equivalent tools to enhance quality and productivity.
- Liaise and coordinate with sub-contractors and vendors to mitigate conflicts, disputes, and abortive work, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Ensure all architectural works comply with specifications and authority requirements, maintaining high-quality standards without deviation.
- Schedule architectural works, manage material requisitions, control costs, supervise projects, and maintain documentation aligned with the Master Programme.
- Review project specifications, tender clarifications, and construction drawings to support contract and procurement management.
- Prepare construction method statements and technical proposals to facilitate smooth transitions between work phases.
- Inspect ongoing work, identify issues, and monitor rectifications to maintain project quality and timelines.
- Coordinate submission and status updates of architectural drawings, samples, mock-ups, and materials while supervising work progress.
- Conduct routine inspections of installed works in close collaboration with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance and quality.
- Prepare and coordinate Quality Management (QM) and CONQUAS assessments to uphold project standards.
- Compile and hand over architectural documentation, including As-built drawing submissions, to complete project deliverables.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Architecture or its equivalent.
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience, preferably with CONQUAS/QM experience on Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) or Prefabricated Bathroom Unit (PBU) projects.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
- Awareness of requirements from relevant authorities such as the Building and Construction Authority (BCA).
- Demonstrated teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across project teams.
- Experience completing QM projects.
- Registration as a Core-trade Foreman or Supervisor is an added advantage.
