Architectural Coordinator – HDB BTO Projects

We are looking for an experienced and highly responsible Architectural Coordinator to join our project team for HDB BTO construction projects.

This is a hands-on site-based role. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates well with consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders, and actively ensures that architectural works on site are carried out correctly, on time and in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage architectural works for HDB BTO projects from construction through completion.
• Liaise closely with HDB, consultants, architects, project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate architectural drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, samples and technical requirements.
• Review drawings and identify discrepancies, clashes or potential construction issues before works proceed on site.
• Ensure subcontractors understand the required scope, drawings, specifications, approved materials and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and closely monitor architectural works carried out by subcontractors.
• Proactively identify incorrect or poor-quality workmanship and ensure rectification is carried out promptly.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, M&E and other trades to minimise clashes and delays.
• Monitor subcontractor progress and follow up closely to ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
• Attend project, coordination, technical and site meetings where required.
• Follow up on consultant comments, inspections, defects, outstanding works and approvals.
• Assist with architectural inspections, TOP preparation, handover and defect rectification works.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, submissions, approvals, site instructions and outstanding matters.
• Escalate potential delays, quality problems or coordination issues early to the Project Manager / Project Director.
• Work closely with the overall project team to achieve project quality, safety and completion targets.

Requirements

• Prior experience working on HDB BTO projects is strongly preferred / required.
• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Good understanding of architectural construction works, detailing, drawings and site coordination.
• Able to read and understand architectural drawings and identify discrepancies or site issues.
• Strong experience coordinating with subcontractors and supervising architectural works on site.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Fast, organised and responsive in following up on issues.
• Strong sense of responsibility, ownership and duty towards assigned work.
• Willing to actively follow through on problems until they are properly resolved.
• Good team player who is willing to support other members of the project team when required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Remuneration
