DESIGNSHOP is a Singapore based architectural practice. We are a small firm whose works are guided and shaped in response to each client and site. Our work includes a wide range of architectural, interior, and urban planning projects ranging in size, cost, and location. Every project strives to be responsible and sustainable while being crafted to specific needs integrating architecture, interior, landscaping, and fine detail.
Job Summary
You will assist in the design and management of architectural projects under the guidance of the Director and/or Associate, driving project delivery through effective coordination, documentation, and team work.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and management of assigned architectural projects to meet client briefs, schedules, and quality standards
- Prepare and develop detailed drawings, models, images, and project documentation to support design decisions and project progression
- Facilitate and document internal team meetings and discussions to ensure alignment and progress on project objectives
- Liaise proactively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and government agencies to secure approvals and meet project deliverables including ISO, cost, and schedule requirements
- Apply thorough knowledge of company procedures and standards to ensure compliance and quality control throughout project phases
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines efficiently
- Interpret and formulate design decisions, presenting ideas clearly during discussions to influence project outcomes
- Utilize diverse media tools to develop and document architectural projects effectively
- Demonstrate initiative by proactively addressing tasks and responding accurately to directions and instructions
- Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion
- Collaborate effectively within teams while also working independently to achieve project goals
- Adapt flexibly to new working methods and contribute positively to a dynamic work environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 2 years working experience in Singapore architectural practice
- Familiarity with local building requirements, regulations, and submission procedures
- Proficient use of AutoCAD, 3D SketchUp and rendering software to produce architectural drawings and models
- Working knowledge of Revit is advantageous
- Competent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to support project presentations and communications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage stakeholders and document project information clearly
