Job Description

Are you a newly graduated or early-career architect who wants to do more than sit at the back of a large studio and wait for work to filter down to you This is a rare opportunity to join a boutique practice where you will be trusted with real projects, mentored directly by the Founding Director, and given the kind of breadth and ownership that most architects only see years into their career.

About Us

We are a Singapore-based boutique architectural practice with deep expertise in experience design, residential, conservation, commercial mixed-use, and retail projects. Our directors bring over two decades of award-winning experience across landmark international and local projects, complemented by professional real estate advisory. We are small by design which means everyone on the team does meaningful work, every project is an opportunity to grow, and no one is invisible.

The Role

This is a full-time hybrid Architectural Assistant / Architectural Designer position based in Singapore, with flexibility to work from home. You will work closely with the Founding Director and the project team leader across all stages of a project from initial design conceptualisation right through to completion. This is not a role where you will be handed isolated tasks and kept at arm's length from the bigger picture. You will be part of the core project team, involved in every aspect of delivery, and exposed to a genuinely diverse range of typologies from prestigious landed GCBs and conservation projects to commercial mixed-use developments. For the right candidate, this role is also a direct pathway to accumulating the practical experience needed to sit for the BOA Professional Practice Examination.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the Founding Director and project team leader across all phases from design conceptualisation and development through to technical coordination and project completion
  • Take direct ownership of project tasks and deliverables, with increasing responsibility as you grow
  • Contribute to design development across a diverse portfolio residential landed GCBs, conservation projects, and commercial mixed-use developments
  • Assist with the preparation of drawings, presentations, and documentation for internal reviews, client presentations, and authority submissions
  • Support project management activities including coordinating with consultants, managing timelines, and tracking deliverables
  • Engage with the full project lifecycle gaining exposure to every aspect of how a project is conceived, designed, approved, and built
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and workflows within the practice

What Makes This Role Unique

Early-career architectural roles are not all created equal. Here is what genuinely sets this one apart:

Direct mentorship from the Founding Director. You will learn from a principal with deep market knowledge and a track record of award-winning, internationally recognised work not a mid-level manager. This is the kind of mentorship that shapes careers.

Real ownership from the start. In a boutique practice, you will not be a small cog in a large machine. You will have direct involvement in real projects, across every stage and every aspect giving you the breadth of experience that most young architects spend years trying to accumulate.

Diverse typologies, not just one track. Your portfolio will span landed GCBs, conservation projects, and commercial mixed-use developments. The variety here is genuine and it will make you a far more well-rounded architect, faster.

A clear path to BOA. The practical experience you gain here across design, coordination, submissions, and project management is precisely the kind that counts towards your BOA Professional Practice Examination. We support your professional development, not just your day-to-day output.

Real career growth potential. As the practice grows, so does the opportunity for the people in it. For candidates who demonstrate drive and potential, this is not just a job it is the beginning of a meaningful architectural career.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (or equivalent) from a recognised institution
  • At least 1 to 2 years of practical experience in architectural design and project involvement internship experience can be considered if there's adequate depth.
  • A genuine passion for design and a sharp eye for detail
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute beyond what is asked
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, D5 and Adobe Suite are advantageous
  • Good understanding of or interest in developing knowledge of Singapore building codes, regulations, and authority submission processes
  • Strong communication skills you can articulate design ideas clearly and work well within a close-knit team
  • Ambition to grow professionally and work towards BOA registration

Who You Are

You are an early-career architect with a genuine love for the discipline not just the idea of it, but the real work of it. You are curious, design-driven, and hungry to learn. You want to understand how projects actually get built, not just how they look in a render. You are comfortable working closely with senior leadership, you take feedback well, and you bring energy and commitment to everything you put your name on. Most importantly, you are ready to grow and you want to do it somewhere that will actually invest in you.

Singaporeans and Singapore PRs are preferred for this role but also opened to WP holders

If this is the kind of start you have been looking for, we would love to hear from you.
