Job Summary
Lead architectural site coordination and planning to ensure construction quality and compliance. Manage materials procurement, inspections, and subcontractor collaboration to deliver projects on schedule and meet regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead site coordination across all trades to ensure seamless project execution and timely progress
- Prepare and submit shop drawings, materials documentation, and Method of Statement (MOS) for approval
- Ensure construction work complies with contract specifications and architectural drawings
- Plan architectural works and develop micro schedules coordinating with other disciplines for efficient workflow
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations and resolve issues promptly
- Implement and monitor Quality Control (QC) plans in collaboration with Quality and Service departments
- Procure and monitor architectural-related materials to meet project requirements and timelines
- Conduct inspections, trade demonstrations, material testing, and mock-ups to verify quality standards
- Verify variation orders (VO) and prepare back charges to maintain accurate project cost control
- Attend subcontractor meetings to communicate progress, address concerns, and align on deliverables
- Check and ensure compliance with Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) checklist and architectural Regulatory Inspections (RI)
- Manage architectural materials, sample boards, trade demonstrations, and review consultant comments on submissions
- Update architectural progress using scheduling tools to track milestones and deadlines
- Ensure all work activities adhere to safe working environment standards
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or management
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline recognized by the PE Board
- Relevant certifications in structural and architectural disciplines (e.g., NCCS, BCSS, Safety, or Lifting)
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in architectural construction coordination
- Ability to lead subcontractors to achieve smooth work progress, high-quality standards, and minimal defects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and knowledgeable in Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Willingness to travel to various project site offices within Singapore
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Completion of Quality Management (QM) project and registration as Coretrade foreman
- Good knowledge of architectural specifications and Building and Construction Authority (BCA) quality requirements
