We are currently experiencing a ground-breaking period in artificial intelligence (AI), where AI is anticipated to become an integral component of daily life. This proliferation is being fueled by advances in memory and compute technologies. High bandwidth memory (HBM) is at the forefront of these innovations. Micron's Advanced Packaging Technology Development (APTD) is responsible to deliver package development for high performance memory products and transfer to manufacturing.
Job Description
As a Process Technical Specialist in Advanced Packaging Technology Development (APTD) at Micron, you will work on industry-leading packaging process technology related to existing and new memory devices and technologies.
In this position you are expected to engage with your supervisor and the manufacturing groups in supporting the activities of APTD on the new technology implementation and process improvement activities to ensure the success of the new technology introduction and ramp. You will provide Process (PO) engineering support primarily through data collection, data extraction and analysis, usually in the form of experiment (SWR) and process conversion reports and making recommendations from it. You will be responsible for executing SWR logistics, monitoring the product line and lot disposition and helping to manage projects. Frequent interaction with software systems like Yield 3, JMP, Micron Central, MAM, SPACE, and GCP (Global Conversion Process) is typical and will learn to understand SPC charts, graphs, Spec Limits and process variations, and can suggest areas of improvement. You will also be expected to assistprocess development team supervisor(s) to manage Team Level Key Performance Indexes (KPI) and enhance or maintain operational procedures and processsystems/tools.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist process owners on various daily tasks such as Cpk improvement, material dispositionand engineering job submissions for analysis.
Data mining and analysis using advanced data analyzing tool and support cross-section measurements for failure analysis.
Assist in inline inspection and coordinate non-routine metro/RDA inspection on R&D experiments.
Support process operations associated with development activities and perform process characterization.
Support new DID setup, new process system setup including SPACE/FDC/LMS/GerM.
Support TOPO management.
Set up process GDM, GCP, SWR and new SPC charts for new process evaluation.
Monitor key inline/probe/final parametric indices for any deviation and trigger first level of investigations promptly.
Competent in the knowledge and expert usage of Micron's systems to perform routine operational tasks effectively (Micron Central/MAM/SPACE etc.).
Own or contribute towards activities and projects that improve APTDprocess operational procedures, systems/tools, process capability, yield, and quality.
Assistprocess development team supervisor(s) to manage Team Level Key Performance Indexes (KPI) such as Global Conversion Process (GCP), SWR, WIP status.
Ability to work in shift if needed.
Able to multitask with proper documentation.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Materials Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred.
Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
Good communicationand interpersonal skills with a strong interest in working in a multifaceted environment.
Basic computer language scripting skills (Python, SQL, visual basic etc) are advantaged.Experience in Tableau is preferred.
Prior semiconductor experiences are preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
