Applied AI Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and deploy AI-powered features from concept to production.
• Build and optimise prompt engineering, AI agent workflows, memory systems and external tool integrations.
• Develop reliable and structured AI application behaviour from Large Language Model (LLM) outputs.
• Debug and resolve issues across AI models, orchestration, infrastructure and application layers.
• Improve system performance with a focus on latency, scalability, reliability and cost optimisation.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and performance metrics to measure AI solution effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions.
• Continuously enhance AI systems through experimentation, testing and production feedback.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in machine learning and modern neural network architectures.
• Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning or deploying machine learning models.
• Strong programming skills in Python with the ability to develop production-quality software.
• Experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) or Generative AI technologies.
• Familiarity with model serving, inference optimisation and production deployment.
• Experience integrating AI models with external tools, APIs or enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Technical Skills:

Experience in one or more of the following technologies will be advantageous:

• Python
• PyTorch or JAX
• Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Model inference and serving platforms
• Vector databases
• AI agent frameworks and orchestration platforms
• RESTful APIs and cloud-native application development
