about the Role

We are seeking a skilled technical specialist to join the Cash and Trade production support team. You will be tasked with maintaining and supporting the organization's Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) systems and a range of payment processing solutions, including SWIFT transactions and cheque processing. Your responsibilities will include resolving level 2 application incidents, performing system maintenance, executing installations and upgrades, and ensuring the operational stability of critical applications across multiple regions. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in achieving high system availability and addressing production challenges efficiently.

skills and experience required

• At least 10 years of experience in software engineering and production support within the financial services sector.
• Advanced proficiency in managing distributed systems across Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.
• In-depth expertise in relational database systems (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle) and advanced SQL skills for data querying and analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in automation scripting using tools such as VBA, Excel, or equivalent programming languages.
• Strong familiarity with incident and problem management methodologies and processes.
• Proficiency with scheduling tools and messaging systems, including Control-M, sFTP, and IBM WebSphere MQ.
• Knowledge of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud architectures, with preference for experience in Red Hat OpenShift.
• Proven ability to manage and resolve incidents while maintaining optimal system uptime.
• Exceptional skills in change management processes and technical documentation.
• Comprehensive understanding of wholesale banking and transaction processing operations.
