Application Test Engineer

We are looking for Application Test Engineer to design, execute, and lead performance testing initiatives for enterprise-scale applications. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, developers, and stakeholders to ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance meet business expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement performance testing strategies, plans, and scripts aligned with project requirements.

• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and business stakeholders to identify performance requirements, SLAs, and KPIs.

• Lead performance, load, stress, and endurance testing activities across applications and platforms.

• Analyse test results to identify performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and system constraints.

• Prepare and present detailed performance test reports, findings, and optimisation recommendations to technical and business teams.

• Manage performance testing tools, test environments, test data, and execution schedules.

• Support performance tuning efforts across application, database, and infrastructure layers.

• Mentor junior testers and coordinate with regional or global QA teams to ensure testing standards and best practices are followed.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven hands-on experience in performance testing and performance engineering.

• Strong expertise in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, or Gatling.

• Proficiency in scripting and test development using languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Solid understanding of system architecture, application performance tuning, and monitoring concepts.

• Experience working with performance metrics, monitoring tools, and log analysis.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
