Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist with strong expertise in Banking Applications, Production Support, and Change Management. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in troubleshooting complex systems, managing incidents, leading change implementations, and ensuring high availability of business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for critical banking and payment applications, ensuring minimal downtime and quick issue resolution.
  • Perform incident management, problem management, and change management in alignment with ITIL processes.
  • Troubleshoot application, middleware, and database issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Manage deployments, upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in banking/financial applications.
  • Collaborate with vendors, business stakeholders, and internal teams for issue resolution, requirement gathering, and project implementation.
  • Automate recurring operational tasks and optimize system performance.
  • Monitor and support Internet/Mobile Banking, Client Services, and Payment applications across multiple environments.
  • Lead and mentor support team members, ensuring adherence to SLAs and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in Banking Application Support and Change Management.
  • 10 years of overall IT experience in Production Support, System Analysis, and Application Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux (commands & shell scripting) and Windows environments.
  • Expertise with Middleware technologies (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, JBOSS) and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker).
  • Database proficiency in DB2 and MariaDB.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and web/application servers (IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven team leadership experience.

Nice to Have:

  • ITIL certification or equivalent knowledge of IT service management best practices.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools and automation frameworks.
