Application Support Engineer

Assist and respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.

Day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of application systems

TSQL Expertise:

- Utilize your strong proficiency in TSQL to query databases, analyze data, and identify root causes of issues.

- Write and optimize TSQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and update data efficiently.

- Perform data cleanup operations using database TSQL querying language

Implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability of system.

Perform application setup, deployment and maintenance

Provide operating guidance, training and troubleshooting documents to internal and external parties.

Maintenance of application documents

Assist with generating application reports

Support system testing and evaluation activities including User Acceptance Test

Writing scripts/programs for service monitoring and health check of all systems

Strong understanding of application support processes and ITIL framework.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Electronics Engineering / Communication Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / IT
• At least 1 year application support experience with Microsoft TSQL experience
• Quick learner with the ability to pick up new technology from scratch
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Able to take after office hours standby duties of one week per month
• Proven experience as an Application Support Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
• Strong proficiency in TSQL, including the ability to write complex queries and analyze data.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in coding or scripting languages such as windows batch, powershell would be a plus.
