About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Application Support Engineer to join our client Technology & Engineering team. In this role, you will act as a software detective - providing a dynamic service by identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You are expected to perform independently, become a subject matter expert, and actively contribute to team discussions and problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
. Analyze and troubleshoot software issues to ensure optimal performance of business-critical systems.
. Identify and resolve issues across multiple components of business systems, acting as a software detective.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality and user experience.
. Participate actively in team discussions and provide solutions to work-related problems.
. Document findings and solutions to build and maintain a knowledge base for future reference.
. Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in application support.
. Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders as needed.
What You Will Bring
. A strong foundation in Java programming, with the ability to read, debug, and refactor production code.
. Demonstrated hands-on experience with .NET Core, .NET Framework, and Spring Boot frameworks.
. Practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and the Entity Framework Code-First approach.
. Proven ability to manage and deploy containerised applications using Docker and AWS.
. A solid understanding of SDLC, Agile practices, and software testing methodologies.
. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detective mindset.
. Strong communication skills and the ability to document technical findings clearly.
. A collaborative approach with the ability to train and support colleagues and stakeholders.
