about the job:

In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for supporting and managing multiple testing and production environments across the organisation's core platforms and connected applications.You will coordinate environment setup for various project phases, oversee deployments, monitor environment stability, and ensure readiness for development, integration, user acceptance, and performance testing activities.

The role also involves executing configuration changes, reviewing deployment instructions, supporting test execution, and maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders on environment status, risks, and timelines. You will collaborate closely with global teams, release managers, and change management functions to ensure smooth delivery across environments.

skills and experience required:

• Experience in environment management, configuration management, or technical support within an IT setup.
• Strong hands-on knowledge in Linux/Unix, J2EE, and JBoss environments (required).
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL or Oracle.
• Exposure to Agile, DevOps practices, and tools such as JIRA.
• Understanding of deployment or release tools (e.g., ARA, Octopus) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of automation, change management processes, and ITIL practices will be beneficial.
• Experience with enterprise-level applications or core platform environments is a plus.
