This role combines Software Engineering and Application Support responsibilities, involving both system development and day-to-day operational support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 and 2 troubleshooting support and response.
- Debug issues and make necessary code changes.
- Perform software development using programming.
- Log, escalate and follow through with issues, ensuring that issues are resolved.
- Review and improve our alarms and alarm response.
- Periodic reviews and submission of the capacity needs of the business.
- Support and/or drive disaster recovery response drills.
- Deploy new versions of the software.
- Generate reports on the operational workloads, review capacity needs of the business, support and/or drive disaster recovery response drills.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related discipline.
- At least 3 years of Technical/Application Support experience on various technology platforms with programming skills.
- Capable of responding to incidents and contributing to code-level fixes when required.
- Knowledge in at least one programming (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
- Knowledge in SRE/DevOps operations, and infrastructure is a plus.
- Responsible and proactive approach to resolving problems, and being able to have a structured approach to problem-solving.
