About the Role

We are seeking a highly experiencedAzure Application Solution Architectwith13+ years of development and application modernization experience, strong Azure PaaS expertise, and handson technical leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate has deep understanding of application hosting, modernization, migration pathways, cloud architectures, and containerization, along with experience guiding teams through complex modernization journeys.

Key Responsibilities

Azure PaaS & Application Modernization

• Modernize and migrate applications toAzure PaaSservices includingApp Service, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure Container Instances.
• Host, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot applications onIIS, Azure PaaS, and cloud-native environments.
• Conduct endtoendapplication performance assessmentpre and post migration.
• Analyze application architecture, integration points, dependencies, and identify modernization pathways.
• Containerize application frontend and backend components; deploy and manage workloads onKubernetes (AKS).

Architecture, Infrastructure & Cloud Adoption

• Understand customer on-prem and cloudinfrastructure landscapeand developAzure targetstate architectures.
• Design and recommendAzure Landing Zones, governance components, and adoption best practices.
• Ensure solution designs addressbusiness, application, infrastructure, and value-formoneyaspects.
• Collaborate withEnterprise Architects, Data Platform, DevOps, and Integration teamsto ensure standardized Azure adoption.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of5+ engineers; provide handson technical guidance.
• Drive code quality, architecture reviews, and technical governance during migration or modernization projects.

Primary Skills (MustHave)

• Strongweb application developmentexperience.
• Handson experience building and hosting applications onAzure PaaS(App Service, Functions, AKS, ACI).
• Basic to intermediate understanding ofdatabase conceptstables, indexes, stored procedures, queries.
• Experience withSQL Server / MySQL / PostgreSQL(installation, configuration, basic maintenance).
• Ability to analyze and mapapplication dependenciesand suggest modernization strategies.
• Ability to identify configuration issues, performance bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have)

• Troubleshooting experience withAzure PaaSservices.
• Working knowledge ofcontainerization, Docker, and Kubernetes fundamentals.
• Ability to work with internal teams and customers to translate migration requirements into practical solutions.
