APPLICATION MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

. Perform root cause analysis on incidents (application, batch and connectivity) and provide a solution for remediation primarily involving H2H applications where Informatica and Axway solutions are used.

. Prioritize defects and plan for production release based on defect criticality or align with the quarterly release

. Work with production support and Dev teams in addressing the issues reported in production that production support can't fully resolve.

. Develop programs, support end-to-end testing in SIT, support UAT and prepare for deployment to production environments.

. Maintain Production stability by ensuring deployments have completed the necessary risk and impact assessments.

. Follow up on defect closure and meet defect closure KPI

. Share production defect support learning with QA team and development team to improve application quality and minimize future defects

. Verify and deploy programs and systems

. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software

. Recommend and execute improvements

Requirements:

Education:

. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.

. At least 6 years relevant experience preferably in a Finance Institution.

Essential:

. You must be the experienced developer and or fix on fail/before fail, with good experience in system interfacing.

. You will be working both in a team and independently troubleshooting and continuous improvement of the application environment

. Work closely with the Production Support and Application Development teams in understanding addressing reported issues.

. Your duties include troubleshooting, coding / scripting issues reported or proactively remediate before the issues impact production and work with uses in performing UAT.

. Work will also involve supporting planned production deployment over the weekend or weekdays, in case of urgent cases

. You will be expected to work with the senior developers and system architect in formulating technical solutions that is fit for purpose for your assigned projects. The solution will need to satisfy all security, regulatory and architectural standards.

Key Domain/ Technical Skills:

. Developing and deploying using Infromatica is a must

. Axway experience will be a plus

. Oracle, SQL,

. Red Hat Linux, Shell Script, IBM MQ, IBM Connect Direct

. Java

. Experience troubleshooting and fixing issues

. Geneos knowledge will be a plus
