Application Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Application Maintenance Engineer / Integration Developer (Informatica / Axway )

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Support / Integration Developer to join our team in a fast-paced financial environment. You will be responsible for ensuring production stability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of critical H2H applications, with a focus on Informatica and Axway solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis on incidents (application, batch, and connectivity) and implement effective remediation.
• Prioritize defects and plan production releases based on criticality or quarterly release schedules.
• Collaborate with Production Support and Development teams to resolve production issues.
• Develop programs, support SIT testing, UAT, and prepare deployments for production environments.
• Maintain production stability by ensuring deployments comply with risk and impact assessments.
• Track and follow up on defect closures to meet closure KPIs.
• Share production defect learnings with QA and Development teams to improve application quality.
• Verify, troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Recommend and execute continuous improvements for applications and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years experience in application support or development, preferably in a financial institution.
• Strong experience in system interfacing, troubleshooting, and proactive issue resolution.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience supporting production deployments, including weekends or urgent cases.
• Work closely with senior developers and system architects to design technical solutions that comply with security, regulatory, and architectural standards.

Key Technical Skills

• Informatica – Development and deployment experience is mandatory
• Axway – Experience is a plus
• Databases: Oracle, SQL
• Platforms & Tools: Red Hat Linux, Shell Scripting, IBM MQ, IBM Connect Direct
• Programming: Java
• Experience in troubleshooting and fixing production issues
• Geneos – Knowledge is a plus
