Get to Know the Role

We are looking for an Application Engineer to serve as a key interface between our Taiwan and China customers and the factory, delivering innovative technical solutions while upholding quality standards. This role is responsible for managing customer claims, feedback, and inquiries, ensuring quality compliance, and leading customer-related projects.

You will collaborate closely with Development, Engineering, Operations, and Quality Assurance teams to support new product launches and address customer issues.

Success in this role requires a customer-focused mindset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary interface for key customer accounts, managing day-to-day inquiries, provide troubleshooting, and resolve technical issues related to product performance or integration
  • Conduct thorough investigations into customer complaints and feedback, utilizing quality-control methodologies (8D, RCA, 5 Whys) to identify root cause and deliver effective resolutions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, QA, and Operations teams to jointly resolve customer challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Share customer-related quality issues and feedback internally in HOES, ensuring timely and accurate communication to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure product and process compliance to customer requirement with involvement in PCN and internal product specification approval
  • Managing customer audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards and addressing audit findings with improvement actions
  • Routine monitoring and analyzing product performance data, and process metrics using statistical methods to identify potential issues then react before quality excursion
  • Plan and execute DOE to systematically collect and analyse data, leading to the identification and implementation of technical solutions that optimized processes and enhanced performance

Other Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally during NPI phases to define quality control plans and criteria

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering field
  • 02 years of experience as a customer quality engineer, preferably in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing settings

Technical Skills:

  • Relevant experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone diagram, 8D, etc)
  • Preferable with experience of using data analysis related tools (Excel, JMP, Minitab, etc)

Soft Skills:

  • Commercial awareness and strong interpersonal communication
  • Confident presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively across functions
  • Strong proficiency in English and Mandarin to support customer interactions and communication needs

Travel Requirement

  • Occasional regional travel (1-2 times per quarter for face-to-face customer meeting)
