APPLICATION ARCHITECT

ob Objectives

• Manage version control systems (Git/Bitbucket) and define effective branching strategies.
• Build and package deployable objects using build tools and configure deployments across SIT, UAT, and production environments.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and integrate with tools such as Sonar, Artifactory, and monitoring systems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using UNIX/Shell scripting.
• Support release management processes, including change requests, approvals, and deployment verification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth release cycles and compliance with BFSI industry standards.
• Work with Agile methodology and use tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BMC Remedy/ServiceNow, and Control-M.
• Good to have exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) and release tools (e.g., Aldon LME).

Key Responsibilities

• On-board and configure applications into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins.
• Configure build pipelines, test environments (SIT/UAT), and Artifactory repositories.
• Verify deployable artifacts and ensure release readiness.
• Write and maintain UNIX/Shell scripts for automation and deployment tasks.
• Verify deployment objects in target servers and troubleshoot as needed.
• Raise Change Requests for infrastructure-related needs (Network Firewall, LVM, SSH, Connect Direct, Backups).
• Ensure release documentation is accurate, complete, and adheres to organizational standards.
• Support infrastructure management and monitoring using tools such as Nagios, GENEOS, and Splunk.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable releases on schedule.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in BFSI domain (Banking/Finance/IT).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control, build tools, and release management.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Sonar, Artifactory, Git/Bitbucket, JBoss/WebLogic.
• Strong scripting skills in UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
• Familiarity with Control-M job scheduling and ability to analyze/optimize scheduled jobs.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proven track record of delivery-focused performance.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Aldon LME or other release tools.
• Experience with PCI/security compliance in financial systems.
