Appian Developer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Appian BPM applications, including SAIL interfaces, Process Models, CDTs, Records, and Sites.
• Build responsive, user-friendly, and efficient SAIL interfaces.
• Develop and optimize process workflows, data models, and system integrations.
• Implement integrations using Web APIs, REST/SOAP services, and database connectors.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, architects, and stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce development best practices, and mentor junior developers.
• Analyze business requirements, provide effort estimates, and contribute to sprint planning.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide support for production deployments.
• Ensure adherence to security standards, performance optimization, and Appian design guidelines.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Appian BPM development.
• Strong expertise in:Appian SAILProcess Model DesignCDTs & Data StoresAppian RecordsAppian SitesAppian ReportsAppian Web APIs
• Experience with REST and SOAP integrations.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (RDBMS).
• Hands-on experience with Appian version 21.x or above.
• Solid understanding of Appian best practices, performance tuning, and deployment processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Appian Level 1 or Level 2 Certification.
• Experience with Appian RPA and/or Process Mining.
• Knowledge of Java for custom plug-in development.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience with Appian administration and environment management.
