The APAC Senior Service Manager is responsible for leading and continuously improving service across Leica Biosystems APAC. This role drives service strategy, defines objectives and KPIs, standardizes service processes, develops service engineering talent, and ensures high-quality installations, troubleshooting, and field support across the region. The role influences service teams in multiple countries through dotted-line relationships, ensuring consistent service delivery and high customer satisfaction.

This position reports to the VP, Commercial GM APAC and is part of the APAC Service Leadership Team, located in Singapore. This will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Responsible for driving service revenue growth across APAC and deliver on targets
  • Lead and influence service teams across APAC, ensuring consistent technical practices in installation, troubleshooting, and field service.
  • Build and train service talent across the region to deliver high quality service to customers in each country with increasing customer satisfaction
  • Standardize and improve service processes to drive efficiency, quality, and reliability across the region.
  • Engage with global service teams and business units to drive global service standards

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field 10+ years of experience in technical service, field support, or service engineering, preferably in a regional role.
  • Technical Expertise - Strong knowledge of installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and field service operations for complex laboratory or medical equipment.
  • Leadership & Influence - Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence service engineers and managers across multiple countries through dotted-line reporting.
  • Process & Quality Orientation - Experience in standardizing service processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Communication & Collaboration - Excellent cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across APAC with internal teams, customers, and external partners.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel - Possibility of business travel - Approximately 30% of business travel.
