Role Overview

APAC Cash Equities Sales Trader (Trade Coverage / Relationship Manager

The successful candidate will play a key role in further strengthening Liquidnet's brand. The primary focus will be on block crossing as well as deepening and expanding relationships with the Singapore member's base. The role entails providing day to day coverage and proactive trade management, with an emphasis on blocks & optimising members engagement through Liquidnet's proprietary front-end application.

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the Liquidnet trading ecosystem, a genuine interest in markets, evolving trends in institutional trading, and the ability to articulate how these components connect to create value for our clients. As this APAC Cash Equities Sales Trader role is also referred to as Trade Coverage and/or Relationship Manager, the candidate will provide strategic and operational support to members, focusing on liquidity management, block generation, execution performance & revenue growth.

Experience / Competences

  • Proven experience in APAC equities trading, particularly in block crossing and client coverage, with a strong working knowledge of electronic trading, dark / liquidity pools & TCA.
  • They should demonstrate exceptional client service, commercial awareness, and a collaborative mindset, operating with integrity and professionalism.
  • We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-driven, and genuinely passionate about equities. Having established client relationships, a good reputation within the Singapore equities community and ability to perform under pressure is also beneficial.
  • The candidate should be eager to build on what Liquidnet has successfully achieved over the past 25 years.
  • The role also involves identifying new business opportunities that align with evolving market trends, client needs, and product developments, and executing agreed initiatives.
  • The candidate will maintain active coverage of key markets, engaging regularly with clients and counterparties to identify liquidity, facilitate block executions, and enhance price discovery.
  • They will leverage analytics and trade-related data to help Members optimise trading and investment performance, while collaborating with internal teams to manage relationships, expectations, and cross-regional coordination.
  • A strong understanding of regulatory and governance frameworks is essential, along with a commitment to compliance, risk awareness, and process improvement to drive operational excellence.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across global teams are key.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and an appreciation for diversity and inclusivity is valued.
  • Cross-asset trading experience is an advantage.
