Role Description

These are regional leadership roles responsible for strategy, operations, and business performance across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. They typically oversee multiple countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Japan, India, and others, ensuring regional alignment while adapting to local market needs.

  • APAC AI Director leads regional AI strategy, adoption, governance, and commercialization of AI capabilities across APAC markets
  • APAC HR Director leads regional people strategy, talent, organizational design, and HR operations across APAC countries
  • APAC Customer Success Director leads regional customer retention, adoption, renewals, and service excellence across APAC customers and teams
Key Responsibilities (Common Across APAC Roles)
  • Developing and executing regional strategy aligned with global headquarters goals
  • Managing P&L, budgets, KPIs, and performance across multiple APAC markets
  • Leading country managers and cross-functional regional teams
  • Standardizing processes while adapting to local regulations and cultures
  • Driving growth, operational excellence, and customer outcomes in APAC
  • Building regional partnerships, stakeholder networks, and executive relationships
  • Managing hiring, leadership capability, and succession planning across markets
  • Reporting performance to global executives and board stakeholders
  • Leading transformation programs, system rollouts, or change initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with local employment, privacy, and regulatory requirements
Role-Specific Focus AreasAPAC AI Director
  • Scaling AI products, automation, analytics, and responsible AI frameworks
  • Managing AI engineering / data science teams across countries
  • Identifying industry use cases in finance, retail, logistics, healthcare, etc.
  • Driving adoption of platforms such as Amazon Web Services AI services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure AI tools
APAC HR Director
  • Leading talent acquisition, compensation, L&D, employee relations, and culture strategy
  • Managing HR systems such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors
  • Driving workforce planning and leadership development across APAC
APAC Customer Success Director
  • Driving renewals, upsell, retention, and customer health metrics
  • Leading customer success managers and support teams regionally
  • Managing platforms such as Salesforce, Gainsight, or Zendesk
Qualifications (Must-have)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
  • 10–18+ years of experience with regional leadership responsibilities
  • Strong experience managing multi-country APAC teams
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic execution skills
  • Strong understanding of APAC market diversity and cross-cultural management
  • Experience owning budgets, KPIs, and executive reporting
  • Ability to travel regionally when required
  • Excellent communication with global HQ and local leadership teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in multinational corporations or regional HQ hubs such as Singapore or Hong Kong
  • MBA or advanced leadership qualification
  • Prior experience leading transformation, M&A integration, or regional expansion
  • Familiarity with matrix organizations and global operating models
  • Strong network across APAC industries and leadership circles
  • Experience managing remote/distributed teams across time zones
