We're looking for a strategic and driven Lead, Anti-Fraud Operations & Risk Management to help protect our customers and business by leading fraud prevention initiatives across our digital banking and lending ecosystem. In this role, you will lead a high-performing Anti-Fraud Unit, strengthen investigation and control frameworks, and drive process improvements aligned with business growth and risk policies. Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Head of CQ&A Anti-Fraud
  • Supports Head of Anti-Fraud: Assists and implements all aspects of fraud risk management strategies aligned with the operational risk policies, risk management framework, as well as business direction.
  • Leads Anti-Fraud Unit: Manages and develops a high-performing team.
  • Supervises the Team's Overall Responsibilities: Establishes processes for monitoring the fraud queue, ensures a dependable investigation output and recommendations.
  • Achieves Productivity Targets: Ensures the unit meets the agreed productivity key performance indicators (KPIs) regarding turnaround time for various tasks.
  • Manages Fraud Risk: Identifies and prevents fraud risk by implementing checks and balances, monitoring vulnerable areas, and activities.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Represents the CQ&A AF Team in discussions and provides expertise on fraud mitigation process improvements across all bank processes.
  • Provides Out of the Box Strategic Recommendations: Offers recommendations based on emerging fraud trends in consumer credit and digital lending, as well as market intelligence.
  • Assess Fraud Trends and Processes in place in support of the business direction: Evaluates the effectiveness of application fraud scores, triggers and controls to mitigate if not eliminate fraud.
  • Conducts Anti-Fraud Checks: Establishes guidelines for routine pre- and post-booking checks for different customer segments, products, and acquisition channels.
  • Reports Fraud Incidences: Establishes a process for reporting fraud incidents and corrective actions to senior management.
  • Maintains Learning Repository: Builds and maintains an updated repository of past fraud trends to enhance anti-fraud control processes
  • Conducts Ad hoc Investigations especially on High Impact Incidents: Performs investigations and provides quick resolutions as needed.
  • Automates Fraud Processes: Standardizes and automates fraud risk management processes and controls suitable for a digital lending environment.
  • Evaluates New Initiatives: Assesses new initiatives, such as products, customers, and acquisition channels, to identify and mitigate potential fraud risks.
  • Stays Informed: Keeps up-to-date with fraud trends in the market.
  • Raises Fraud Awareness: Conducts fraud awareness campaigns for relevant stakeholders.
  • Participates in Testing: Contributes to system testing and certification, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and business continuity planning (BCP).

Qualification

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, data reporting, or related functions
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in management of an analytical team – task definition, feedback, data governance
  • Understanding of the lending processes within banks and financial institutions is an advantage
  • With advanced Excel skills, proficient in SQL, and adept in using other analytical tools (Python, R Programming, etc.)
  • Skilled with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • Resourceful, initiative-taking, adaptable, and comfortable working in a challenging environment
  • Knowledge of bank services, lending products, consumer credit and Anti-Fraud practices is preferred
  • Experienced Credit data analyst or Anti-Fraud data analyst is an advantage.
